Were you at the drag strip or a closed race course? If so, you should have your entire suspension updated if you're going to be racing. If not, you can fix your problem by not going 140 mph. Seriously, If you're going that fast public Highways, just stop!

I had my Satellite(GTX Clone) up to about 140 mph yday. I noticed that the car was rolling lft to rght a little. I have the original shocks from 40 years ago on thefront and some new Monroe shocks on the rear. I have a front sway bar to install but have not as of yet. Do I need a rear sway bar as well? And do I ned to replace all shocks with KYB's? I replaced torsion bars last year to handle the front end weight of the 440 but didnt change shocks. What can help keep this car on the road and improve handling without breaking the bank?
You need ALL the above if you plan any more 140 mph runs. You are one small stroke of bad luck from destroying that nice car and maybe yourself. Things that you can recover from at 50 mph are major accidents above 80 mph. The rolling left to right a little will be fixed with a front sway bar and shocks that aren't 35 years beyond replacement time. If the front suspension wear items are as old as the shocks they need replacement also.

Nah I was at a race trac strip. But even regular driving I would like a more modern ride.
You were doing 140 mph at the drag strip? That car is definitely quick to be going through the traps like that.

At those speeds, air under the car is a factor. I'd be thinking about a front air dam, too, and running the ride height at about 5 degrees nose down. As the previous posts have recommended, good shocks, and as much positive caster as you can put in it.
Some float at 140 mph doesn't sound that bad. I bet the aero is pushing the front end up a bunch. Then combine that with old front shocks and maybe? not much caster.

Ok guys all of you have indicated on what I need to do. I'm on it next week!!! I talked with a guy today that has 727 trannys with overdrive. Opinions on that? Sorry I'm off topic....
There's a guy in our club with a 69 ABS plastic spoiler from a 69 Camaro on his 69 Road Runner. Actually look pretty subtle and most people don't reconize it as a Camaro piece. It does't stick down nearly as much as the one topside posted, but it's off the shelf, not too expensive, and because it ABS plastic it will give if you get it caught on something.

There are many things that will make the car drift side to side. Uneven Air pressure in the tires is one. I do hope your tires are V rated or higher.

I would seriously consider one of these. http://www.gearvendors.com/ Bolts right on shorten your drive shaft (or have new made) and you can lower you gear and still have more top end. Does not take the power a big overdrive unit takes to drive nor does it have the failour issues!
Stock speedos are often off 15 MPH at that speed?? what is your tire size, rear gear, transmission, Torque converter and rpm you hit!
