I couldn't find any pics with the valve covers off... I will take one when I get home.

I bought a set of Harland Sharps for the B1/BS heads.

Maybe it's just the angle of the image, but those HS rockers look too long on B1-BS heads to have a properly centered valve sweep. FWIW, they have the same issue on Edelbrock heads, too.

i just got off thge phone with HS and if you have a current set and ordser intakes he could [maybe] give 20% off to make it 46$ea.X8=372$ and change.i was maybe looking at a 1.65 ratio for a little extra intake opening for boost.
ps: that was a custom ratio rocker quote.

What diameter are those pushrods, if you don't mind saying they don't look like 3/8

I had the original rockers on my BS heads for quite a while without problems. Then I went to a mech roller. That's when the valvetrain nightmares started. I talked to Chuck @ Best Machine he recommended T&D's and I have had no trouble since.I would recommend them to anyone.

What kind of nightmares did you encounter? I've got a set of these heads on a 451 low deck with a roller cam. Just curious what to watch for.

I don't remember what size the pushrods are, and I probably won't be pulling the valve covers off untill this spring. They are smith brother push rods.

If you are talking to me?? The rocker arm set up came with the heads when New. I have been using that set up for 4 years so far. No trouble at all.....

thanks for the pics , mine has solid spacers between the rockers instead of springs ,how much clearance should I have between the spacers and rockers? They came with a set of used heads and Im not sure of the brand. I would post some pics but I cant get them to load. thanks again
