what is the difference between the max wedge pullys and hemi race pullys and the ones your looking for.
max wedge lower pulley would be a different depth assuming the 64/65 Race hemi had the wide balancer like the later street hemis

The '64-'65 Hemi damper and pulleys all have Hemi only part numbers but, never having seen them, I can't say what the difference(s) are.
Jim Kramer would know.

I believe all 64-65 Hemis use the thin crank balancer. This would make the pullies the longer pullies.I have never searched to see if the pullies were the same as any other Mopar engine. Also the 64 flywheels are a lot different from the 66-69 flywheels and the 70-71 flywheels.

Chrysler themselves couldn't keep it straight as far as the part numbers. They listed the damper under quite a few preceeding numbers. The 64/65 race only thin damper is list as P-2532795,P-3830183 and P-5249698 the thick NASCAR and street Hemi is listed as P-2532202,P-3870854 and P-5249699.The 440/383 wedge was also listed as P-3830183(the same as the race Hemi)Chrysler also claimed the timing marks differ from the thick and thin damper.GO FIGURE,to add to all the confusion there is a mismatch of superceeding numbers from way back. Also a hodpodge of pulleys with different size, ratio, depth and diameter.Who wants to be the expert and claim the exact part#s and discription.NOT ME

I thought 64/65 race Hemis had the thin damper All the race dampers I aquired from Chrysler were of the thin variety.66 and up street Hemis used the thick one.
I didn't know that , if that case then ones I saw listed for max wedge and race hemi would be the same ???

I was told my rebuild of a 68 SS Cuda originally had 65 A-990 pulleys,????
Not on the crank pulley. The 68 had a standard "thick" hemi balancer and needed a special deep single groove pulley. DC

OK Bob, my mistake, sorry, just needing someone to let me know "to the best of their knowledge" What size pulleys were used on the 68 SS cuda, as I have read the 65 A-990 hemi cars, pulleys were used as that's what was available, unfortunately I have no idea what size the A-990 were either, so thinking you have probably seen a LOT of original stuff, a BEST GUESS would help !!!! And if you happened to have some for sale, I need them, so as of today, I think I need a alt & water pump pulley from a 65 A-990 hemi,.....thanks, and PS, I understand about the guru contest,,,,,,,
