I just got my 8 point rollbar from S an W racecars ,and it looks great ,plus the main hoop fits very well.I was hoping maybe someone had a few pics of an 8 point setup in 63-66 Dart ,so i can get a better idea of how it goes in as far as the floor locations.I have the instructions ,but pics would be even better if you have the time to take me a few of your finished roll bar ,thanks ...

do you have a nhra or ihra rule book?you kinda need to look at their rules,as in how far above your head, how far behind your head the main hoop goes.do your self a favor if you don't have a tubing notcher find someone who does, also a sliding t bevel from lumber yard to get the angles.take your time, measure, then measure again.i bought a 67 cuda that came from around texas raceway, super pro car.good luck.

You gunna make it a dragcar ?I used to have a 68 Cuda convertable in high school .Good luck with it ,which ever way you go .Thanks again for this Dart ,i love it ...

Go to Chris Alstons web site , click on install articles, then roll bar install.

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

Before you do anything with the roll abr and door bars position the seat your going to use and check your location and comfort positions in the seat and then make the measurements as faras where the main hoop will need to be and how high it needs to be before fabricating anything else. You may need to make stands on the floor for the main hoop to be welded to to get the hieght correct if your very tall or have the seat raised up for better vision over the dash Measure twice, three times before cutting and welding once I have a 1965 dart 270 two door hardtop that will get some attention next year, I hope

Absolutely install the seat first to get your head location, harness height, seatback location, elbow/armpit area and clearance for the seat. Everything else depends on the seat position.

You will have to modify the notches to fit correctly.

The seat has been mounted for last several trips to the track ,and its perfectly comfy for me where its at.I was told by the guy at S and W racecars that it may have to be slightly trimed to fit perfect .Anything else i should know before i start?
