I purchased a rebuilt 4 speed to install in the 62 dodge. I won't be using it for a year or two because I'm restoring the car. Should I put fluid in it or just leave it dry while it sits on the shelf for the next year or two. Thanks, Alex

I finally got a picture of my neon sign on here thanks to my daughter.

Put some fluid in and spin it over to lube everything. ATF would do the trick.

Fill it just below the fill hole. I use 80/90 gear oil.

An old slip yolk is best, just make sure it is clean.
