If Ryans doin the heads, he will be the best shot on the right intake system advice + he has dynoed a ton of small blocks <takes out a lot of guess work>

Carbs ok. I'd stick a port matched Victor 340 Junior under it.

I run almost the same set up with an automatic. I run a edelbrock RPM airgap to help with the heavy car. I also run a 750 double pumper that was worked by the carb shop to flow 830cfm. It likes more carb
and I have run a regular 850 on it. It really likes the more top end air but I have trouble getting it to idle very well with that 850. The air gap seems to run well with it I shift at 6 or 6200. My 68 cuda runs 7.01 at 96.5 in the 8th.

the victor is sometimes referred to victor jr...now that there is a super victor.

A Weaind X-Celerator would not be a bad choice on you're motor. I have a Victor with a 950HP on my 408, fully ported Edelbrocks, 10.9- 1 with amost 20* duration at .050 though. It's gone 6.74 (1/8) spinning. In a 3300# Dart.

I think you're cam will be done at 6400 in a 400" motor. My 340 had a Hughes 3742 hydraulic, it liked to be shifted at 6200, it ran no quicker shifting any higher.
