I got these slicks to run on my dart, wheel lip on driver side is rubbing and a little on passenger side. I have them mounted on 15x8 cop wheels, is there any other wheel that anyone has used to get these tires in there without rubbing? I really hate to roll the lip on the wheel well.

I have them on my 69, the springs are moved in 3/4", the rear is moved back 1/2". They're on 15 X 8 Welds with a 5.5" back space.

I run 26x9.5 on my 69 dart with the summit brand stars with only a 4" backspacing and the passenger side rubs the fender in hard right turns. My suspension is all stock. I didnt roll the fender lip but I did grind the lip and the trim piece slightly,or else I would have cut a brand new tire to shreds. As it is it rubs every now and then. If you get the correct back spacing on the wheels you should be fine.

416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out.

On my 69 Dart with an A-body 83/4 and the spings moved in 3/4". I used Weld Draglites with 4.5" BS. I did have to trim the wheel lip a small amout just for safety sake. Jim

For some reason, the factory didn't center the rear axles between the fenderwells. Every Dart I've looked at had less tire clearance on one side.

That is NOT unusual Dang Ma Mopars quality control folks How much room do you have on the inside of the drivers side? Do you know if you have the stock spring perches on the rear end or aftermarket ones? If stock you may not be able to move the rear end over towards the passenger side by loosening and readjusting the springs on the spring perches, some aftermarket perches have a bigger hole in the middle where the spring center bolt rides and you can slide them forward or backwards and side to side some, not a big amount, 1/4 to 3/8 inches maybe )

This is EXACTLY what I did for my wifes 69 Dart. Fits perfect. The 3/4 inch spring relocation is a necessity.

Yeah, I am going to try to see if any way to at least slide over to center it. Driver side wheel lip is almost touching, maybe get a piece of paper in there if i am lucky. It has super stock springs, not sure on the rear spring perches, it had the springs in when i bought the car. I think I am just going to do the 3 inch spring move. Then I can get some real tires and wheels in there.

When in doubt, fix it
