I need help finding a set of headers that will fit a 1965 Dodge Coronet with a 440? I have a set of Headman Elite Headers and they are nice but they rub on the drivers side torsion bar. Need a recommendation for a set that has good clearance, TTI or Dougs Headers?

Clint

I'm using TTI's. The first set of headers I've ever installed that didn't require any tube denting.

What type of header did you go with? Did you use a long tube or a fenderwell header?

I ran TTI 2" underchassis headers on my 65 Coronet wagon with a 440/stock heads and also 470/400 stroker/Indy heads. Fit perfect on both engines with no issues whatsoever. Great headers.

I have TTI's and they fit very well, the only complaint I have is that they wanted more for them plain than with the stupid chrome plating, I would have much preferred ceramic but like everything else today, we are only the stupid consumer, customer service is gone, gone, gone.

Another vote here for Dougs very good welding and coating job and cost less than TTI's with a 2" tube with 3 1/2" collector.

Are your headers fenderwell or under chassis?

I have some cheap Headmans on my 64 with a 440. They actually fit well with no dinging. Clears power steering. The collecter flange could be thicker but you get what you pay for. These were free.

These were on a 383 that was in the car. The clearance should be better than with a r/b. No starter clearance issues either.

I'm running them in a 64 Polara with a 383,no problems. They would hit a small MP starter when I had them in a 63 Plym. with a 440. Ok with stock starter.
