For some reason, my CRT dipstick tube doesn't want to seal with this latest engine swap. I never really cared for the design of this, it just seems like the rubber seal was WAY to big for the hole and the tube just kinda smooshed it in there, but somehow it sealed....until now, when I put the engine in tonight. I got it bolted to the bellhousing and it's just not doing it. Is there any other tube out there that'll work with this, or any ideas?

Having never seen the CRT part I am gonna assume the seal he is using is the GM grommet. If so they need to be replaced occasionally. If it is a long "grommet" then just go to the parts store and pivk up a Chevy dipstick tube seal. Pretty common part. This is the GM part

Pat, i run one with no problems. common problem ive seen on cars ive wrenched on is they do not put the rubber seal in the trans hole first then lube the dip stick and slide it in, they have tryed to install the dip stick with the seal on the tube and it doesnt want to seat in all the way into the trans hole and leak. and a little to make it fit with a sheild Bondo

I've had the CRT dipstick that was made for the CSR shield on my dartSport and it fit perfect. I tried the LOKAR and it was the absolute biggest piece of crap I ever bought.

I agree Lokar tubes are junk and try putting fluid in them what a joke.As far as the boots installed correctly they hardly ever leak.

I hated my Lokar dipstick too Pat. Putting fluid in was difficult, and in my car the dipstick was located just below that ridge that runs across the firewall. Busted my knuckles every time I pulled the stick. I would get a new grommet and try Bob's suggestion.

stock location, it would hit the shield hard before it would come even close to bolting to the bell housing, a little tweeking and I got it to work, I don't think they clearance the shield enough or a big enough cut out for a tube at time's.
