A 727 Converter will work on any 2-wire (Non Lockup) A-518 transmission

Actually it will work on on any RE/RH if you make it a non-lockup. How does one do that? I mean the obvious part is the input shaft, and most likely part of the valve body...but any other internals???

Actually it will work on on any RE/RH if you make it a non-lockup. How does one do that? I mean the obvious part is the input shaft, and most likely part of the valve body...but any other internals??? Input shaft , corresponding stator support I assume , make sure the interface between the input shaft , thrust washer and mainshaft works. Possibly the valvebody but since lockup is electrically applied making sure it can't happen might be enough since if you are doing it to an RE you need the electronic govenor there and working ... unless you go full manual shifting ?
