Are rocker arms the same between sbm and bbm besides the length of the shafts.

To save someone coming on here and starting a debate I’ll let you fill in the answer but I’ll tell you this. Edelbrock recommends big block rockers on their Victor small block heads. And Indy says their 440-1 rockers are good on 360-1 heads.

1970 Duster
Edelbrock headed 408
5.984@112.52
422 Indy headed small block
5.982@112.56 mph
9.42@138.27

Nope, pushrod offset, and fulcrum length is different, when talking stock stuff but aftermarket heads could be different.

The pushrods are offset on Big blocks, both the intake and exhaust. The small block rockers are on center.

I'll have to check on the fulcrum length. I think I have both rockers laying around.

The fulcrum length is different. But I guess that's only one part of the equation though.
The pushrod side should be disregarded, one is 1.6 and one is 1.5

Throw an intake and an exhaust on a head and see what it looks like! That's engine building. Even if what you have if 'off' B3 makes fulcrum position altering kits that'll probably make what you have useable.

This pic is worth a thousand words. I assume that these Cranes are both for a BigBlock and one is called a 1.5 and the other a 1.6 ratio. But unless it's a major illusion there are distinct differences between the pivot and pushrod end making these closer to the same actual ratio REGARDLESS of what it's labeled. Even more reason to mock things up and see.

No, he wanted to see a small block one vs a big block. Thats what those are. I agree though you never know what the head mfg. used for dimensions,. can't hurt to check it out.

Crane fulcrum length on a small block is a touch short to begin with. Mock them up.
