I have two 71 383's laying around and just found an intake with a Holley on it, where are the numbers located on it?

Didn’t all those mentioned 1971 Holleys get thrown in the garbage at the dealerships when they got replaced with the Carter AVS 6125s due to leakage and fires

That’s why they are so hard to find

See those back Venturi’s, that’s what is unique about these carbs, 70-71 383 only. My new 70 Challenger had the 4 speed 383 with that carb, when secondaries came in it was a rush!

Some of these 383s get a lean spot or stumble. If you find yourself in that situation get yourself the kit mentioned in this TSB on ePay or separately. The kit is pretty cheap if you can find it.

That’s pretty much what I did for all the later race cars with Hollys. The Challenger did have a stumble but I attributed it to that big electric vacuum advance but didn’t know sh!t from apple butter back then to fix it.

I wonder what size nozzle was in the kit?

I see a couple of sets on ePay now. You may be able to get that info from one of the sellers. Going from my shotty memory though I think they were 3 to 5 sizes larger than stock. It was right at the number Holley recommends going to the hollow hold down screw for better flow.
