Not the time of year I expected to do this but I ran a new best 6.03 at Quaker City last weekend with this combo. This thing has really surpassed my expectations and we aren’t even into Fall yet. The car is a little lighter this year with a factory 360 block and the driver lost a few pounds so it’s now a touch under 2850 pounds. Still shifting at 6700 rpm and it’s really pulling so I may bump the shift rpm up when we get some killer weather. My weather station is reading about 400 feet or so low but I don’t want to change the calibration and lose my info since I’m the only one using my info it doesn’t really matter.

Pretty good John! What are you using for fuel? Alcohol and a 900 (1000) cfm carb.

1200' and uphill IIRC. I remember it being sloooo there compared to what we're used to down here in the flatlands.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

For that ET, your MPH is 1-2 low....I would look at jetting it a little one way or the other. Mine is typically 112-113 in the 6.0 range...Had one time slip that was 115.44 and 6.002.... How a smallblock car ET’s compared to a big inch big block is obviously gonna be different. I doubt yours had a 1.27 short time, as an example. Lot, lot smaller motor

Thanks guys it’s been a blast this year. At 66 years old you gotta go while you are still able.

What do you think the methanol is worth? I think a friends small block car is 3 tenths faster in the 1/4 on methanol vs gas. Have you ever run it on gas?

Ran a 6.04 and 6.05 during time trials at keystone today on a hot nasty day. Rain moved in and they are trying to dry the track for our night of fire activities. Humidity is fighting them.
