Are all 340 cranks drilled for pilot bearings?

I'm not sure about small blocks, but big block cranks certainly are not all drilled.

I think so. I’ve got and had lots of 340 steel cranks over the years and they all had bushing installed even if the were in an auto car.

Forged cranks probably yes. Cast cranks probably not all

Some are drilled undersize and I don’t know if you can still get that bushing . Mopar had a roller bearing and a bushing that fit into the torque converter pilot area of the crankshaft , but I don’t know if it is still available

I have never seen one not drilled but that does not mean some are not
I have not been able to get the undersized bushing for the unreamed crank for a long time but anyone with a lathe can turn one down. The needle bearing for the converter register is Timken fc69907.

Some vendors, I believe Dorman for one, used to make a solid bushing with no needle bearings. For switching a automatic non drilled crank over to a manual transmission application. Does anyone know if this bushing is still available? I'd heard rumors of the needles eating into the input shaft of a manual trans. designed to ride on bronze.

Mopar 04338876 ought to be what you are looking for, unless it's been supplanted by the roller version.
