I ran the Super Bee at Maple Grove today with the new power plant put together by Dwayne Porter (fast68plymouth)for the F.A.S.T racing series. Based on a 383 platform for the car, Dwayne built a low deck motor that gave me a new personal best with the car... 12.07 @ 116.37 MPH in near 90 degree heat . On that run the 60' was 1.938. The new build is very docile at low speeds until you put your foot into it . Thanks Dwayne for all your efforts on the project. I am sure an 11 second run is in my future just as you planned.

do you run the larger 440 AVS, at the time I was invoilved with FAST I recall there was some "Grey Area" regarding whether the carb actually required the OEM casting number or if it only needed to look visually correct and functionally identical (IE, you couldn't swap a Vac sec for a Double pumper, etc) the 340/383 AVS is a good 75-100cfm smaller than the 440, it was the first swap (along with the old MP "jetting tips" we used to make way back when I had a "magic" 69 440 AVS that ran within about .02 of a 750 double pumper on any motor I ran it on...wish I still had that one.

I guess you could say Mr. Porter is just a tad crafty with those F.A.S.T. combos. Congrats on 11's in a B-motor B-body! BTW, I'm kinda' interested in some of how those suspensions manage to hook up on teeny-tiny tires. If y'all can do it, there may be hope for me keeping the 235/75/$15s on my pickup. -Bill
Seduce the attractive, and charm the rest.
