i would dig through a 6 foot deep box full of new 440 source dampers to find a original cruddy looking damper at the bottom, to go on my stock 383 2 barrel daily driver.
Care to discuss why, for those of us not 'in the know?'

I put one on my 383 stroker. I've had it for 3 years, and put about a total of 3000 miles, plus a dyno session spinning it up to 6500 rpm a bunch of times, and it seems to be doing ok for me

The only thing I didn't like about it, was that the timing marks are only "printed" on the outside of it, so when I painted it with the rest of my engine, I lost the timing marks. not that big of a deal, it's pretty easy to find TDC and re-mark it after painting.

I ran a small hone through mine to take the plating out of the center hole,it fits about right now. I have been running one on a stock crank 440 for a few years now,up to 7000 rpm through the traps. I can't say if it is good or bad,but I will be buying another one.

we had a customer we built an engine for, and he supplied us with one of these and it spun the whole outer ring off after just a few passes. in my opinion, just get an ATI and be done with it !
