Anyone have experience using these headers on a set of Indy 360-1's?

Looking for options to put on a stroked small block in a duster to replace a set of TTI's .

Yes sir, it's a full 1 tenth and 1.5mph gain over tti's. Did the exact test on a stocker pump gas 408, 10.80 deal, and also on a mid 9.50 deal.
Cutt the flanges and they come out of car with everything installed. Way easy to work with. Both combos gained the same by switching.
Just my track results, others may vary.

I have them on my 434", 360-1 headed small block. I too cut the flanges to make installing them easier.

That's good to know, Did you see any improvement or was this a new build?

Any chance you have some pics? I've been having a hard time finding much online.

These are the only headers I ran on my 408 or 434.

A couple photos here.

i ordered a set at summit to swap out with my cheap 1 5/8" headers....should be here tomorrow afternoon. If you have some time i can post some photos during installation (will take at least 2 month, have to do other things before).

Guys be aware that some Milodon pans require a bit of surgery when used with the Hedman's.

Would you be able to fit a blanket on it after you clearanced the pan? My plan is to get a uncoated set and do any mods needed to fit a blanket on mine then
have them coated.

AL, it would have to be pretty thin. If I were running a blanket I'd just put a larger/deeper radius in the cut in the pan. The two tubes you see in the photo actually have had some work done to them as I didn't cut the 408 pan as much. The 434 had to have a 340 pan so I made the cut bigger. My headers were uncoated too, I cut the flanges, worked the tubes and welded in a O2 bung before sending them out. Another thing is the collectors are made to go on with a slight tilt up. I didn't catch it and welded my bung on, and built the exhaust, The d/s collector would drag on my trailer when loading or unloading. It finally dawned what I had done and I turned it over and redid the d/s exhaust, but I can no longer use the bung because it's to close to the header. The p/s I left alone as it didn't drag and I think if it was installed correctly the exhaust would be hard to get by the transmission cross member. On a pure race car it may not matter though.

Doing a little fab work is no problem, looks like it may take a little work on the headers and pan. Id really like to get a blanket on, I think its just a matter of time before they are mandatory everywhere.
This is full time race car so no exhaust unless I try a couple bullets.

Thanks

Al
