I've been running Hedman Huslers for years and really like them. One tube on each side goes out through the fenderwell though.
I don't think it'll need the 4.30 gears
I was looking at those too but trying to avoid fender exit - not counting it out. Just trying to avoid it.

About ten years ago I was in the process of building my 408 and Ryan Johnson had my heads freshening them up. He and I were talking on the phone about the build and headers came up. Since my 340 had TTI's on it I was considering a new set of 1 7/8" TTI's for the 408. Ryan told me to go with Hedmans, IIRC he said they were worth over 30 hp on the dyno than TTI's, so I bought Hedman's. The easiest set of headers to install that I've ever owned, they are like a jig saw puzzle to put together though.

And thank you for the pictures - now that I see it doesn’t take much cutting for the exit pipes , I’d be good with that especially if they’re not so hard to install. I appreciate your help!

I think the headman are best for power from everything I have read. That being said I have TTI 1 7/8" on my W2 418 and they fit great, the passenger side one is super easy to install and almost requires two people because it will literally fall out after you install it. The drivers side is not easy, but once it is in it fits great. I just leave it in the car when I take the motor out and that takes all the pain out of it haha.

You can get most of that 30 HP loss from the TTI’s by cutting off their junk collectors and putting some nice collectors on there. The TTI collectors are just terrible.
Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

True, on my 360 Stock Eliminator Volare I cut off the TTI collectors and put on Mark Lelchook’s merge collectors (beautiful work BTW) and picked up .05 with no other changes.
