Help! I am going nuts trying to find the right part to get the wipers to work on my 1970 Dodge Dart. There is some sort of bushing or retainer that is supposed to connect the wiper linkage to the motor drive arm, but I cannot seem to locate the right part. I have bought 2 different bushings already but neither is even close. Near as I can tell the drive arm is about 3/8" diameter and the whole in the linkage is 3/4" or bigger. Does anyone know what piece I need?!? I'm going to post some photos.
Some see the glass as half empty, some see the glass as half full. I just drink straight out of the bottle.

Pretty much the same as the above picture, but there is a sheetmetal washer and spring clip that you need that I show in the picture. The washer goes through the pin, then the black plastic bushing, then the spring clip holds washer and bushing on the pin by slipping it over the pin to where the clamp captures the end of the pin.

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

As mentioned, your easiest and most affordable way to get the bushing is to find an auto parts store that has a "Help" section and buy the wiper arm linkage bushing pack (something like 6-12 in it) and of course, there will only be 2 Chryslers n the pack I had to pick some up for the Duster and just got 2 of the packs and used what I could, don't know what happened to the rest of them...oh well. You aren't looking at over $10 to get what you need... For the record mine were found at AutoZone. I'm sure someone repops them, but by the time you pay freight you'd come out on the high side of the deal.
