Inspect that top shock cross member. I have seen many of them busted because of air shocks. It was never meant to support the weight of the car.
Master, again and still

had them on 2 road runners for 20 years. never leak and no hole problems.if you know how to install them they won't leak and if you don't put them on a rusty car or a 4.200 lb charger the holes will be fine. I suppose how much you tried to lift the rear of the car to clear tires could have a huge effect on how well the shocks or the holes they were mounted in would last. At the gas station I worked at in the early 70s, we had a guy that insisted we put 145 psi in his 150 lbs max pressure Hi-Jackers. He didn't get very long life out of either the shocks, or the mounting points (didn't much help the tires or rear quarters either). I ran mine at around 80 psi, I didn't have any issues with my rust buckets. Gene

Shackles on most will do little to nothing. Most have weak springs and shackles wont lift much if any.Saw many with springs bent under because of shackles.Rocky
