I got my Stage V heads from Tim at FHO , didn't take very long to CNC assemble and ship. Give him a call, he'll tell you the wait time as he does the heads to your specs..
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

My 572 is a lil over 11:1 and runs great on pump gas. It's been 9.50s at 140 mph on the motor. When I want to go fast, I put race fuel in it and use the nitrous to go 8.90s at 150 mph. My previous engine was 14:1 and ran on C12...it was streetable, but a huge PITA w/ it being strictly a race fuel engine. I ran into Jim Pranis at the Mopar Nats right after he'd finished his big pump gas hemi build. We got to talking about it and I decided I had to have one.

Chip, what gear ratio and tire diameter are you running on your 572? 4.10 gear and a 30" dia. tire (295-65 radial).

High compression is going to be more knock sensitive with a standard transmission: 1. depending on your "crawl ratio" (1st gear X axle ratio) 2. flywheel weight 3. advance curve

what I learned real quick is that you better be running Drag radials on the street or you can get in trouble quick! I had the exact opposite experience with my old pump gas Duster, it would spin the snot out of the M/T ET Street radials on the street, on a decent to good track they where faster than the same size ET Street bias ply where On the street the bias ply tires where a lot easier to hook and wouldn't bust loose in high gear like the radials would That 518 C.I. 400 stroker Indy headed motor made a tad bit above 725 HP and similar torque, not a real street killer

If you want street traction, you have to go w/ a bias ply tire.

Been there done it with a street car. Went from 750 hp wedge to 1000 hp high compression hemi in my street strip car. For drag racing do the high compression. My car with 1000 hp was not fun on the street. Would blow the tires off in any gear. Was in the limiter before he pedal was half way down. Raced a 12 second car on the street and almost got beat because all I did was spin. Took that motor down to pump gas and small cam. 605 cu inch. 850 hp with pump gas. Car is a blast to drive now on the street. I don’t fear race gas and compression on the street. I just think when u get over 800 on the street the fun factor goes away.
In God we trust, all others pay cash.
