My cars typically pick up a good tenth, tenth n a half (1/4 mile), but at most 2 tenths (Cool days with a little tail wind). I see other cars that pick up alot more, but they their cars aren't as consistent on a race day either...A lot has to do with carb size and jetting. Most of my stuff has to small of carb on it, but it runs more consistent that way.

Enough so that if you wait until October weather comes and it rains there's no chance for a best ET until spring

I picked up a little over a tenth on a great day a couple of weeks ago over the heat of summer.

My combination is NOT typical and EXTREMELY air flow challenged, so I can see 3-4 tenths difference from 4000' DA to sea level air. I'm also not shooting for consistency. I ran 12.39 at 4000' DA at Indy and ran 12.13 at 200' DA at MIR. Keep hoping for anything under sea level! Three races left, maybe Atco.

Usually a tenth or two. I still have the stock hood so I don't get the benefit of the cooler air until later in the run. Regardless of outside temp my air inlet temperature is usually 130-150* on the starting line, it then tapers down through the run and drops closer to ambient.

Heat of summer July and August...high 9.8s to 9.90s.
Decent summer air...9.70s.
Good fall air...9.60s or maybe 9.50s if it's real good.

This is N/A on pump gas. My old motor that ran on C12 didn't seem to fall off as much in hot weather. Possibly due to the fuel?

Temp can make a difference - if you jet up for it - which most don't. Still can help a little. Big difference comes with a change in DA.

I try to keep it simple. When the weather turns hot in the spring, I lean the carb out 2 jet sizes front and rear and don't bother it again until the air gets good again in the fall.
I've tried chasing jetting for different conditions (years ago) and honestly never seen much change.
The only time I'll stray from that is if I'm going to the track on a day I know the air will be extremely good. Then I'll try jetting it up more for a good timeslip.

.2 and 2 mph comparing typical summer to decent fall. Can be more with extremes. But I dont chase the weather with my tune.

A few years ago I ran on back to back fall weekends at T&T only at PRP (at that time). I always have my weather meter out and guys like to chat about it. The first weekend day was nice and my weather station said it was very good air. The second weekend day seemed very much like the first one, but the pressure was actually a bunch lower. My car pretty much hit the numbers I calculated base on the different DA. A bunch of guys came looking for me after there first pass as they were all a couple tenths off on what seemed like the same conditions. They were happy, but a bit surprised that it was the atmospheric conditions for what seemed like similar days.
