What is your set up? If stock, the C body shocks would be to long.
I have mechanical Aptitude. I can screw up anything.

Aren't longer shocks required if using SS springs? Yes and some guys use the C body shocks on the cheap.

You might measure how much distance there is from C to C between the top/bottom bolts. You want the shock selection to have a certain amt of compression at rest (not my area, just sayin).

Aren't longer shocks required if using SS springs? O.P. never mentioned SS springs , he said it was stock. Yes it is stock for right now. But what if (say down the road) I put a new set of springs under it from Springs & Things with a +2 lift. Won't it require longer shocks?

What if he put in a Jag rear end, that'd require different shocks. We can what if all day. None of which matters.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

I would get loaded & extended C to C distances for a baseline to work with. Then add/subtract as needed.
