i've never had the bolt snap and can't figure out how that could happen. i have had them come loose from the press fit but even that is more annoying than anything else. are you sure the bushings are the right ones? All the parts are correct, I'm wondering if it is defective cheap parts possibly made in China. This has all happened during assembly with no weight of the car on the suspension yet, so that scares me a bit.

for peace of mind I would get a used set in there & chase/torque the threads. EDIT used original set I neglected to say.

Most off these use a mechanical lock nut and don't need to be very tight. I just use an open end wrench to tighten them and that is all you need. Once the nut stops against the shackle STOP TIGHTENING IT or you will snap it off. Gus

^ agreed, all I do is A bodies & the diameter of the short threaded end of the shank is pretty small.
