Another problem with the 1972 C body core will be the 4500rpm full throttle upshifts. Rick at A & A Transmission has the cure for this.

Another problem with the 1972 C body core will be the 4500rpm full throttle upshifts. Only if you leave it in Drive....manual shifting is a wiser and cheaper option.

Magnum Thxs. I'm a transmission newbie. Just guessing here, being a C body trans it shifts early at WOT compared to an HP unit. Checked out A&As site. He shows multiple governor kits for different RPM shift points. My cam is all done at 5200, so I would use the correlating RPM trans governor? What do you mean by "all done"? What is the cam size?
