I'm looking for a new oil pan.
I always ran a Moroso center sump, but the deep sump takes a beating coming out of wheelstands.

The Milidon will hit my headers.

I have a rear sump Dakota pan that I could modify. But I would be into a center link thru pan type deal... Not sure if I would like that.

or

I was thinking of the Canton center sump pan.

Anyone care to share there experiences?

Matt and I both have the milidon oil pan and 1 7/8 headmen headers on our small blocks and had to modify two tubes with a 4 pound hammer. I just reran two tubes because our track now requires a diaper on cars going quicker than 10.99 so I'm set. I tried a Canton oil pan and I was seeing a big oil pressure drop during the shift so I put the milidon pan back on. I will address the issue on the canton pan someday with some windage work

Milodon on mine with Hedmans, had to modify the pan to clear the headers though.

It appears the Canton has a longer sump area compared to the Moroso... I looks like the whole bucket is longer?

A 7" sump on a street car is bad news even with a skid plate. Tried to ad side tanks to the pan with no success. Mounted 2 full size(1 qt. each)oil filters. Mounted them low enough to have no pressure issues. Stock pan with 6 qts. total.

TTI headers fit with plenty of clearance. Great headers but not cheap, as you may know. I use Milodon pans because they are a bit shallower than a Moroso, better quality & has the drain on the back rather than bottom on Moroso. (Unless they changed it by now.)

The Milidon will not clear my headers. I'm thinking it will be the Canton pan. The website says "New" But I find that hard to believe. Unless it was re-released. As I thought they dropped that line.

Good-luck. My RacePak saved me an engine.

I picked up the Canton pan. The baffling is awful. I'm going to change the baffling.

The only reason I bought one was because of how nice the one was on a small block Chevy i built for a Friend. The mopar pan is a piece of crap compared to it and luckily I had a RacePak in my car to see the pressure drop.

It should be a good core for me to work with. Basically the same as the Moroso but not as deep. The baffles make no sense unless your a roundy rounder. The Moroso tends to hit the ground coming out of wheelstands and my last one was a dented mess. I run an oil accumulator. So I do have some insurance. How many qrts were you running in your Canton pan?
