Does anyone make an aftermarket version or do I need to buy an "expensive" NOS ignition buzzer?

When I was doing my 70 Charger dash install, I got one from CarQuest, but you'll need to go thru the electrical mfg catalogs they have on hand, as it won't be in the computer program, I might be able to dig up the info for you later?....maybe?

I have a bunch of used originals. Give me the part number and I will check. I can also test for function. Joe

The buzzer would be for a 1970 Plymouth road runner.

Says "NOS". Not mine BTW. In fact, found three and not cheap. Ebay "mopar 3420885"

Not to hijack this thread but my buzzer only works when passenger door is open, not driver's door. Is this correct or is something not connected? Door jamb switch operates cabin light with no issues. Car is 70 Challenger. Thanks!

The driver's side door jamb switch has two wires connected to it. One solid yellow wire runs to the rear harness that connects to the dome light. (M2B-18Y)

The second wire is yellow w/ black tracer (M6B-18Y*) that runs to a female single bullet connector for the delay light wiring sub harness. A second wire at that female connector (M6A-18Y*) continues to the 2983696 buzzer relay that is a dual wire connection at the relay terminal with the passenger's side door jamb switch wire (M6-18Y*).

Long story short, wink either the left or right door when opened should make the buzzer work, if the key is in the ignition switch.

It could be as simple as the M6B-18Y* is not connected onto the door jamb switch terminal.

Jim

So JS Restorations informed me:
The 2983695 is the actual part number stamped into the relay and the 3420885 would be the "over the counter in box" version sold by the parts department at the dealership. Are there another aftermarket ones being produced? Generally where would I locate the buzzer. A guy at NAPA said they can get one for a '71 any difference and would it still work?
Thank you!

Not sure what years but in some years the key buzzer and the horn relay are combined. Affects interchangeability.
