unless you were having problems with the existing bearings, i would just swap the cam, I have done it before.
or,
if the cam manufacture recommends a specific bearing, then i would swap the bearings.

you are pulling the eng correct? I would install new cam bearings. they are a major oil leak and anything you can do to reduce that is good including reducing the oil to them (if this is a low po DD then I can see leaving them alone). you would have to borrow the driver or pay your shop to do em

A rev limiter.
I had run hydraulics for many, many years before I ran my first solid and had never had a rev limiter. Since I had never had a problem, I didn't think that I needed one.
Without going into all the details, the solid will rev so much higher (whether you mean it to or not) that I believe a rev limiter is a must.

I don't change cam bearings unless they are bad or the engine block is going to be hot tanked.
Nautilus Racing- We use Superformance gaskets and Turbo Action converters/products.
