Side of block: 10-10-73 ~ casting date 3418496-360-10 ~ casting number Machine pad (driver side below head, can't read all of it) 4W 360 1 ??503??? <- any help on this? Thanks. EDIT: I'm guessing 4=1974 W=Windsor 360= 360 cid Also came with the factory windage tray. Sooo I'm ASSuming HP variant? When it takes more than a sweet mullet to prove you rule at the trailer park..

Unrelated- some early 360 blocks were cast with 340 cores meaning they had alot of core thickness & would take more overbore than the average engine would, not that I would use that to bore one out to 60 over unless needed (CC gain from boreing is minimal) but thicker walls does give a more stable foundation especially in a perf app (if you do sonic check it you'd see it in the numbers). live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

Porter67 master P Joined: Jun 2014 Posts: 5,183	Did the timing chain look org? Is the crank a aawj casting or cfd? It seems to me the ones ive had or seen some of the W built motors seemed to use better quality parts although it dont make sense in some ways...

This one was out of a 1974 360 roadrunner fwiw. Guy put a 440 in it and I bought the original engine. When it takes more than a sweet mullet to prove you rule at the trailer park..
