Sweet! I assume Elston exhuast is still installing the turbos?? He does a sweet job. Saw one up on the lift one time and I could not believe he could fit all that piping in there. He is an artist!
"Turbo will be easiest, and at the HP level will also be easiest on parts. Spend the money to do it right, and you can build a 500 HP street motor that will live a long and happy life, and probably with a very basic short block."
Those words must have left a bad taste in his mouth!

Yes 1000hp, on pump gas too . I got 18mpg driving on the interstate monday. The car is an auto. If it were a stick, this setup is good for over 1500-1600 at the wheels. With the auto, it's limited to about 1300 due to the converter. Still working on the other issue with inspection, looks like I got it worked out

I drove the car home from UnderGround on monday. It POURED for 2 days here. Today was the first day I could take it out. I've given about 15 rides to people so far. Just haven't had time to do video. I've had a lot people asking what it sounds like, so will be working on that hopefully on Saturday.
next passinger have them take some. then we can ghear them scream. i would have takin video from the first drive fearing something would happin and the moment would be lost.i am sure you were smileing ear to ear in the 1st rides. be carefull.

OMG...your car is to die for I think I just blew a load . Seeing this is not helping me talk myself out of wanting to aquire one of those cars. I can see it already- car would be in the driveway for a month, Underground Racing would be on the phone and another financial meltdown begins. Congrats on the finished product

I put 6 figures into another tuner on a viper truck I have and was very disappointed with. UGR is fixing that abortion right now. I told UGR exactly what I wanted the car to do. They told me how much it would cost, when it would be done and kept me updated throughout. There were no surprises, nothing but incredible customer service. I will get them to build me another car down the road. It's so rare, sadly, to get TRUE customer service from a shop these days. We've gotten used to vendors who just want to take your money and could give a crap less what you think. These guys were 100% awesome and I can't imagine sending a project to anyone else.
The best deal going for a "budget" is to buy a 97-99 GTS (good rods/pistons) and throw a paxton on it. Don't quote me, but I think you can get around 900 rwhp out of their setup and total build cost is 15k. You can buy a GTS for mid-high 30's right now, lower mileage for 40's.
If you want to get something done on this level, buy someone's car that is already done, will be A LOT cheaper. I know where a car is that is built VERY similar to mine, but it is an 05 convertible. Car ran 8.53 at rockingham, I saw it with my own eyes. It's an auto as well. It has the best of everything. That's quite a bit more, around 125-130k.
