Just looking to refine and maximize what I have. Not changing parts to chase e.t. I built what I want and it is a street car first and foremost!

Any muscle car that will be driven at WOT more than once needs to have way more fuel volume, supply, than it needs to insure a long life without detonation. A 5/16 pickup and gas line is probally marginal at best, 3/8 on both will be way better I put 1/2 lines and 1/2 pickupds or two 3/8 and 5/16 mixed to gether on all of my cars that I build for motors with more than 500 HP on pump gas

I'd say that certainly acceptable for the first time out.

No roll bar, so I don't know how much quicker you can go before they start telling you to slow it down.

As someone who ran well into the 10's with the OE 5/16" line and a mechanical pump, my advice is.... Put a bigger line on it.
With the 383 in my car, I went from the OE 5/16" line/mechanical pump to a cell with a Mallory 140 pump and 1/2" line..... Added a fresh air hood(not sealed to the carb), and took out 100lbs........ And went from 119mph to 123mph.
All I could think of was, "I wish I had done it when I had the 448 in the car".

that's not terrible. And you have room to grow. I wouldn't go down on the Pro's (you are talking about the radials right?) When you go WOT at idle it's like dropping the clutch at 3+K. You might sing less if you load up the converter some. I always like to come off just above idle (1200 or so) I tried everything to get my old 70 to hook, new slicks, new shocks (front and rear) and nothing seemed to work, the "butt end" lifted to much, I went with Cal-Tracks, never got to the track with them, but they seemed to work well on the street.

Love that car! Husband's Challenger runs 11.7's @ 113, with 1.61 sixty foot on M/T ET street drag radials. What tires do you have? Better hook will definitely get that ET down.

Play with that tire pressure, our Challenger actually hooks best at 18-19 PSI.

I was at 21 psi.

The car left straight and true save for the time I spun hard off the line. Very happy with that aspect..

You can fit a 10 x 29 I bet, should be plenty

after looking at the car you need to get the butt end down. You should also make sure you have enough front end travel. The tire size is not the problem, guys run 9's on 275 drag radials. The era of "big tire" cars is over. I'm guessing with that mph you should be in the 1.50ish 60 foot range. That's what I was shooting for.

That's exactly where I want to be with 60 ft.

I've flipped the front spring hangers before to lower it and may try that, but I'll have to check pinion angle.

When I put SS springs on my Demon it was jacked up in the back, It looked like crap. I put 2 in. lowering blocks under it.

With my old 440 and a best et of 11.49 @ 116 it had a best 60 ft of 1.57 but would average around a 1.60 and sometimes hitting high 1.50's on good tracks. That was on just SS springs. I agree that when you get the hook working good you should be running 11.30's to 11.40's with the 117 mph and 60 ft's in the low 1.60's to high 1.50's. If you go to Cal Tracs and really hook it may even 60 ft better. But thats if you get real serious about going after that 60 ft. My car now 60's in the low 1.50's with a 1.50 best 60 and its just average for a 10.70 car on SS springs. Good luck with your car. Ron

Get that short 6o' down to the 50's and that pup will be bottom 11's.

This was leaving off idle. I tried bringing it up on the converter and it spun pretty hard.

A track like Tulsa will probably hook even better and get me in the .20's.

I didn't touch the motor all day!

Try just a pound or two less on the tires and get yourself a set Calvert 90/10s up front.
