Is this the 2.5 V6 or the 2.7 ?? Ron
"Coupe" would be the M-itsabitchi = 2.5 V-6
Two things I do... smack the relay bank up on the fire wall (drivers side) while cranking. If that doesn't work I throw in the "good" distributer I have. IMHO diag sucked for those cars.

I agree and I have put a good number of dist in them. They actually have the coil and an igniter in the dist also. Ron

Thanks, guys,
I have come to the conclusion I will Need to change out the distributor. I have it sitting right here in front of me. I have checked the primary and secondary of coil and it checks out also coil tower to pin 11 or 12 also checks out. I did a bench test on the transistor that is inconclusive(don't have the proper analog meter) I spent a good hour researching replacement transistors and can only find them in lots of 100 or more. Seems like a scam, $10 part bad and have to replace the whole unit. It is what it is, too cold right now to mess with it for a few days. Again thanks for the help. Mo
Oh yeah, jbody is right it's the 2.5 mitsubitchy engine

What is the # of the transistor you need? I work in the medical electronics field, and know a few sources.
It's Swifty! Swifty, you toad sucker!

That # doesn't cross in any of the sources I know. I imagine you've seen this thread? http://www.mx6.com/forums/2g-mx6-general/75053-distributor-transisitor-part-number.htmlHave you ever read Dr. Jacob's book on ignitions? IIRC, it contains instructions on substituting a common Mopar ECU in cases like this. I can look for my copy tonight, or someone else may have a copy handy.
