Bracket #2 68 R/R 383 no ac,dont know if it is correct as car came in boxes and engine is a 70.

I had bracket #2 on my '70 383 with factory air conditioning. Bracket #2 is not correct for a 70 car. 70 used a bracket with a hole in it for the pcv hose to pass through. Bracket #2 is the non a/c 68-69 style.

Thanks for that. Although slightly different than mine with the curved edges as mine is straight. But the same principle. I can assume that mine is original. Thanks again.

I have neither on c body 69 big block. Throttle return spring goes to the back of compressor mounting bracket. There is a small bracket that bolts to it with a hole for the spring. The bracket changes location depending on 2 or 4 barrel (383), 440 has one location for the bracket. (Wish I could add a picture to this new format) Yea it's a bit of a challenge. You have to use a web pic host like Photobucket or Tinypic.com to name a few. Then you have to copy and paste the picture's direct link provided by the web host to the "enter image" icon here in the message field. Feel free to ask any questions about this.
