I have a very nice 360 build that I did last year and want to step up to a roller cam. I didn't tube this block and like I said its already assembled so are these direct fit without any grinding and can they be used without oiling mods to the lifter galleys? I did LOTS of block grinding last year to use the comps (828-16). If so I'd like to get a set and button this engine up.

Got them in both my 440 W2 and my 414. Just drop in and Go. Super light too, i used the .185 offset intake cups which helped straighten out the pushrod on the W2's. Got the big wheels with the forced axle oiling on both sets.

These will drop in too.

I have used these in a stock block. They are now in my 340 block that has been bushed.

Didn't MRL work with Comp to develop these lifters?

I thought I remembered Brian saying he helped on someone's roller lifters to ease use

MRL lifters dropped right in the 426/360 we built, no block grinding at all. He has standard and pressure fed rollers. The pressure fed rollers poured a lot of oil on the camshaft with our unbushed lifter bores. Recommend observing pre-lube with intake manifold off.

did you run it yet with the offsets? 59* block?

Been running the doug herbert sbm solid roller lifters for 3 years and no problems.drop right in. Great price @ $359.

I was told by a very sharp and respected small block guy to not run lifters with an off set cup in my build. I didn't, I also didn't ask why.

in them.. it was larger than I was told.. they do
dump a lot of oil

It will snap the link bar. Puts it into a bind when in a 59 setup.

Incant see the link bar binding, not with the large diameter roller and ( to me) a straighter pushrod will have less oscillation than one that is at a severe lateral angle ( such as a w2) my 440 w2 is running with them just fine.

Arent the Herbert house lifters morels? They are fine but they are pretty heavy compared to the MRLs. I think the morel solids are the same long body they use for the hydraulic rollers so you have a long lifter body but a comparatively short pushrod. I run pushrod oiling with a nearly but not quite totally restricted shaft oiling, its gone 7200 with ease on my 414 so far.

Brad Miller makes an awesome lifter. Mike at MRL put a heck of lot of R&D into these lifters with Brad. I have a 59 deg Mopar 340 resto/Siamese block with W5's. These blocks have super thick and high lifter bosses and unfortunately because of this, too much clearencing was required for 3/8 pushrods and 180 offset intake seat lifters. However, centre/centre pushrod seats would require minimal clean up with a die grinder between the lifter bores to clear the tie bar. On a factory block, I don't think there would be any issues though.
Did I say how awesome these lifters look and are designed. If the exchange rate wasn't so crappy at the moment I would definately invest in another set. I would most likely go the bushed over needle rollers next time for a few more $'s.
Have also used the Comp 8043-16 with no issues. On appearance, oil band location and quality, the the BAM/MRL lifters are a teir above.

I put over 600 runs in 3 seasons on my comp 8043-16 roller lifters. Those are the drop in lifters IMM helped comp develop. I ran them in my R3 block so I can't comment on fitment in a stock application.

Comp will rebuild them for ~$11 a lifter which is nice for people who put lots of laps on stuff.

The Comps have one pressurized passage for axle oiling. I think I read somewhere the MRLs have four. Is this correct?

I went with the comps because I figured if they ever needed rebuilt Comp would still be around.
