are the hughes shaft rockers a good set up ? any advice from experience ? any specific things to do when using them? I plan on using a set with 1;5 ratio on a 512 stroker engine with a mild .530" .540" lift /235* on 114 c/l hyd cam. 150 on the seat and 350 on the nose with 6500 max rpms.. kept the whole top end with hughes for compatibility ..pretty much street use. thanks in advance !!

A ductile iron rocker would work with that cam.

Make sure the geometry is CORRECT.

I run the hughes 1.6's on two cars. They work great. My cam is .568 lift around 240@ .50 107 CL. I beat the snot out of my cars, No problems

The Hughes rocker arm kits are really good parts for the money.

These are Hughes 1.6 rockers with their shafts and hold down kit that I bought in early 2011. They have worked flawless as I am very happy with them. Ron

I'm happy with them too but unhappy with their billet hold down kit. The (new) version I bought 2 years or so ago require LOTS of shims on the rocker shaft and it doesn't look very professional...

They are 1.6 rockers and I had them under these covers for a good while.
My holddown kit sounds different then the newer Hughes kits as I did not have to use hardly any shims with this kit. Ron

Yes another tick for Hughes rockers, I have them on a 528 with 730 lift solid roller, love them.
