We have to realize there are two camps here, n/a on one side and blowers, turbos and nitrous on the other. I respect what this lady has done to run in the nines( I would have one if I could afford it) but... I'm more impressed with that guys Scat Pac, adding tires and running 11.85( which my SRT should run too). It's more of a testament seeing what an engine will do by itself ( like Bartons ). Since I'm not living in the old days I will be putting a turbo, nitrous on my Gen lll for the 73 Cuda, I want to run fast and cheap too! Heck there was this guy with Ed Millers old car that had a junkyard full of 440s he'd stick one in the car with a cam, carb and intake with a 500 hp nitrous kit and run in the mid fives, for awhile, then stick anouther in, do the same, does that impress you, funny to me. Just proves you can take average stuff and make it fly with power adders.

There are a lot of Chevy guys on this forum these days. They can't get their Mopars to run fast so they jump ship. bwhahaha I think it's cool as hell. Especially in a 4-door family sedan. LOL.

Cool 10-sec V Wagon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydTFISfwpRoSame odd sounding trans during passes - and look at the black smoke during shifts, I think that's the torque management (pulls timing right as the trans shifts to keep it alive). Removing that in a 392 car is worth a few tenths alone...

Don't even compare the LS crap that's had its balls nuzzled by the aftermarket for 15 yrs. to a package that hasn't even been out for a year. Really? There is a Challenger out there in 6's let's not forget.

nuzzled by the aftermarket And therein lies the problem... You think a blower-motor in 4600 lbs. is gonna make that all go away??? Talk to the engine builders... Look at the current state of 'Mopar Peformance'... Look at the Summit, and Jeg's catalogs... The juggernaut that is Ford and GM is KILLING 'Chrysler'... No revelation there... There's late model 8-second cars in these parts with license plates on the back... Ain't none of 'em 'FCA'... Those of us that have been around lived through '71 to '08... All those years languishing... While Ford and the General kept on rolling... You can't change history...

The statement that "slow Chevy guys...." just is flat out Wrong. The Hemi platform has been out since 2003. Is that enoough time to compare it to the LS platform that came out in 96? the fact is, there is much more aftermarket for Chevy. Your denial does not alter reality.

So why did engine masters pull the 3rd gen hemi out of competition. They made there own class to compete in after it won two years in a row. Don't do that for ls stuff. Rob Goss went 202 mph with a factory iron block in his challenger, find me a factory ls block doing that.

I may be Mopar or no car, but I also have enough brains to see something that IS fast no matter the brand and dont hesitate to acknowledge REALITY. My point is even though Chrysler/Fiat is late to the party, they have MORE than caught up and without the nut nuzzlers like Lingenfelter, Holley, Dart, RHS, Jegs, Summit,MAST, Steilow, MSD, Edelbrock etc. etc. etc. propping up their oem substandard products. The Camaro and the Mustang both would be screwed without the HUGE aftermarket support they always automatically receive even before they hit the dealerships. Its funny how the more things change, the more they stay the same. Mopar is non-existent for products for whatever reason ever since the mafia took over.
