What size engine are you building?
I have to same converter that was behind my 700hp 493. Its a 9" ultimate
It had 3.55 gears and felt so slow. The 410s in it now feel much better however i ran slower at DW for whatever reason. It never really feels mushy

With 3" exhaust its only a 1/10 slower but if i opened the cutouts on the BB then the gap gets alot bigger.
The hemi feels alot slower but its not

I have NAG1 behind a 5.7 in a 70 GTX. I used 2:76 gears to start so it would be comparable to the donor car...ease of swap ill-logic:)....anyway, yes, I had to raise the hump about 3/4" but it was no big deal. The computer WAS an issue but that is easily overcome with an after market TCM. This car will absolutely beat snot out of the 440/727 set up it came with. I have not messed with the gears or done anything to the engine performance wise...yet...just wanted to get it all working first. I'm not a racer so that wasn't any goal I had in mind, however, this car is plenty fast, is an awesome cruise, and gets 20mpg! 73mph at 2000rpm.

So with an electronic throttle body, what are you guys using for a kick down on a 727? I'm looking to put a 6.1 in front of my 727 in a Ramcharger...

I'd like to hear some input too. I have a Gen3 426 I'd like to put in front of my A518 but haven't heard of a good solution for the kick down. I know you can get the APP Sensor and adjustable cable but I can't imagine there's not a better option.

Could one not run a Lokar throttle cable on the throttle cable and run it to the kick down when using an electronic throttle body?
