alright, I have 2 intakes and 2 small block motors being built. the intakes are edelbrock LD340 and edelbrock performer RPM. motor #1 is a warmed up 318. 302 heads, mild cam, headers, ect. motor #2 is going to be a stock appearing (FAST) 416. as of now, the 416 is going to have worked over J heads and a streetable cam. which intake would be better for each motor? any ideas? not sure if I needed to give more info. thanks in advance!

The performer is pretty much a slightly warmed over stock intake but in aluminum. & also I would check your port matchup as in some intakes have smaller 318 sized ports & others larger 340/360 ports.

I am not a small block guy but from what I have read they are both good intakes.I don't think either one will perform badly in either application.
The ld340 will look more stock for the FAST MOTOR.
Aside from that I can't say.

The LD340 is far above the stock or the Performer intakes. No comparison. They are by far closer to the the Airgap and RPM than to the stock or Performer intake if you want to compare them to something.

Neither are FAST legal. If you mean max performance and kinda stock looking, put the LD340 on the 416
