How the heck can you drive in that kind of heat with no A/C in the car? I'm assuming you Dart doesn't have A/C.

Who needs ac in a 9-second car........ Plus it would slow me down. Some day I will have a fast street car WITH air but for now I tolerate this thing and love every minute of it actually............

I ran the 45 gph Meziere for ever. One thing I did that helped is I tapped the hole in the housing under the thermostat. put a plug in it and drilled a 1/8th inch hole in the plug. that was good for about 10* And did the water just pour out or what? I think you stopped short in your explanation. The 45 gpm pump he's referring to is the drop-in pump that fits the stock housing (same one I have). There is a bypass hole underneath the thermostat in a stock housing. You tap it for 3/8" npt (no need to drill), put a pipe plug in it, then drill a 1/8" hole through the plug. This is def. worth doing...dropped mine about 10° also. It reduces the amount of hot water that's recirculated through the motor. could you post a part number for the one you have? The pump I have is a Meziere WP105SHD...it's the black version that flows 45 gpm and drops into the factory housing.

I, as well, think that I have solved my cooling issue. I upgraded the pump from a 35GPM to a 55GPM. Now when it gets hot I flip the switch on, and it is able to cool the car and bring it under control. I haven't had a super hot day to try it, but am looking forward to it!! Thanks for all the suggestions

What is that passage for? What would happen if closed off completely? You could get air pockets in the head, its a bypass for when thermostat is closed
