I need to charge the AC on my 04 ram ctd .I bought a new can of ref.and borrowed my buddies hose and gauge.it works on his truck but the low side of mine is way too big to fit the hose.does the ctd take a diff hook up or is there an adapter?

You are probably not looking at the low side port (the high side is the one out front where it is nice and convenient). The low side is way back up under the cowl near the firewall on the receiver dryer. It is a PIA to get the hose seated. Use caution....

Mine is different (being an '06, I guess) as the port is on top of the receiver-drier. I wish mine was out in the open like that. wink
Do you have a full set of gauges or just the recharge kit? If it's just the kit hose someone may have changed it to a high-side connector. work

It has me stumped. Found some pictures online and the line, port, and cap look just like yours. shruggy
Wish you were closer, I'd be glad to take a look at it.
