The SRT is more stiffly sprung and has better brakes too. So unless you want to do a lot parts swapping ,$$$, the SRT is the best choice.Much faster too. The Miata may be quick around the cones , but would you want to be seen in one?

You can get a Mopar TCM and a Tranzformer controller for that thing and you will not think you need the 6 spd. Also conversion kits out there for wheel mounted paddle shifter from an AMG Benz.
Mopar to the bone!!!

For pylon autocrossing, you seldom ever want to be shifting gears... too upsetting with the smoothness required, etc.... just keep it in 1st or 2nd (maybe 2-3) through most of the courses, pending your final rear gearing, and the rpm range you have for your engine and the length/speed of the pylon course. For a road course/track (1-2+ miles in length), and wider MPH ranges, shifting is more required.. 2-3-4-3-2-3-4, etc, again, pending your rear gearing and rpm range.
