I did it on a couple of cars side by side at the same time...and I went around the core support areas. (they where not Mopars, but Holdens..and done the same way basically with a K frame that drops out with all the suspension) The bracket bolted to the bumper mounts would be another great way to go and nice and solid. Might be a little harder with yours and the odd shaped bumper Might see if there is a way to grab from the bumper bracket areas perhaps without hitting the front valance or stone tray I did a Dart ages ago too now that I think of it, think I went off the bumper area back then too

I installed mine from the bottom. I used the mounts from the rottiserie bolted to my front bumper mounts to pick up the car. I used a cherry picker To lift the front, then put jack stands under the frame rails. Then I connected the picker to the motor. I rolled the motor and tranny under the car with a atv jack and a floor jack under the tranny. There are picture on the site in my signature. Look under motor and install. Hope this helped a little, good luck

Installing the drivetrain from the bottom sure seemed appealing to me at first too, so I was going to try to install-it-from-the-bottom on my 1970. I had never done it before, and decided I didn't have a way to lift the motor & K-frame up to put in the 4 K-frame bolts ect without making or buying something like a dolly or a pallet jack. in the end I decided to go with what I know, so I just used the traditional drop-from-the-top method.
I had the clutch, scattershield, and water pump already installed on my 440 when I dropped it in. There was about 3/4 of an inch extra clearance as it went in, the front suspension and brakes were all in and done and the transmission was easy to put in with a floorjack.
I have done it this way many times in the past, and was familiar with doing it this way by myself. The main reason I considered doing it from the bottom in the first place was because I was concerned that I may scratch up something and it looked so easy, which I'm sure it is if you have the right equiptment.
To overcome my concern about scratching anything, I layed bubble wrap and then cardboard around the engine compartment and used wire to hang my headers in place before putting in the engine. It was easier for me, and I didn't scratch anything.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

No. I plan on doing the install on my '72 RR the same way.
Place the rear jack stands at the front spring hanger brackets (shown below). Remove the rear wheels so you can hinge the car up sufficiently without putting weight on the rear axle. Place a couple hundred pounds on the trunk (I used a couple of those 68 pound cement blocks from Home Depot for building garden walls - wrapped in plastic bags, placed in the trunk on carpet scraps.)
Even with the front bumper on, hood on, and interior (including seats) in, I can lift the front of the car by hand at the front bumper. The plan is to have a buddy come over to lift the car up while I roll the k-frame/engine/trans on the dolly underneath the car.
A pic of the placement of the rear jack stands.
