225-70-14 will fit stock 14" factory wheels just fine. But like mentioned get lost under the car. And No way would I put a 60 series 14" tire under ,,it looks even worst.
Uping them to a 15" tire is a much better move
IMO
I just put a set of 17x7's and 17x8's on a 68 B-Body for a friend they look really good also

Hi forphorty.
Thank you for answering my request for help. I'm going to break down and buy the rear wheels from Summit. What is the best size for the back and what size do you think I should get for the front? And what size tires for the front and rear? It's for a 1970 B-Body. Thanks for the help!
I read the whole post and understand your uncertainty. In your last post that I quoted here it sounds like you are now going to buy some 15x7 Rallyes from Summit. Am I assuming correctly?
Here is my old 70 GTX with 235 60-15 front and 275 60-15 rear. In a perfect world I would have used 245 60-15 for the front but got a deal on these.
If 275 60-15 seems too tall for you then go with 245 60-15 front or rear or 255 60-15 rear. Hope this helps. Ron

So Ron your saying to get 245- 60-15's for the front? You said to get 275-60-15s for the rear? Are you sure the ones you suggested for the front will work? Futhermore the rim size ...do I get 4 rims that are 15x7? Thanks for your help! Nice Car! Are you anywhere near atco? Karl
Yes 245 60-15 fit without issue, they are the interchange for the factory F 60-15 Bias Ply tire. I prefer 15x7 rims so the trim rings fit correctly and because they are the factory option. You can put 245 60-15 on rear also to mimic factory size ( F 60-15). Then I suggested if you thought 275 60-15 was too tall you could also use 255 60-15 on rear. Here is my other old GTX with Bias Ply GoodYears F 60-15 on 15x7 rims.
I'm less than an hour from Atco. Ron

If you're buying the 15x7.0" wheels from Summit, buy the Wheel Vintiques 15x7 polished trim rings also. Here's 245/60s & 295/50s on 15x7s (I prefer the 275/60s on the rear)
