The Kaase "Mopar" Hemi, is a carbon copy of his "Ford" Hemi, with the exception of the spark plug locations. Go to the Kaase site, click on products, look at the chamber side shot of the FORD hemi, picture the spark plugs moved inside on the center cylinders and outside on the end cylinders and you have the MOPAR Hemi.............That's IT in a nutshell, and of course some cool MOPAR valve covers...........LOL!!
Same block, same head, same everything, other than the plug location. seen several of each at PDRA races

At that level it has no "brand". What is the bellhousing pattern/starter pattern? It's a 100% aftermarket Kaase engine that uses whatever is best.
Mopar to the bone!!!

Monte your hatred for mopar is obvious.
It's says mopar on the cover it must be one. Plus it's the new G3 going into the new srt ram. Matt

No hatred from me whatsoever. Wish I had one, although don't know what I would do with it..........But from a "what is it point".....that motor is as much of a Mopar, as it is a Ford or a Chevy. The main answer being NONE. It is an aftermarket aluminum race engine. The only factory parts from ANYBODY that likely fit it, would probably be a BBC water pump and it has a GM trans pattern.
Now, let me pose you this question. If I show up with the above motor, at an "All Mopar" power event........can I run it, because it is advertised on Kaase site as a Mopar and says it on the valve covers. The answer is likely yes.........Now on the flip side, I build an all aluminum, aftermarket 5.0 bore space wedge motor and show up at same event, with Mopar scrawled on the covers.....they will run me off and holler "that's a Chevy motor"........THAT is my issue, with all this stuff. No consistency on what is and isn't

regardless of what it really is,the mopar faithfull have at least a glimmer of some competitive horsepower packaged in a more similar fashion than the other billet motors.yes its still a hybrid, but,it sure looks familiar in more ways than the others.even knowing thats a petty and silly comparison, apples to oranges, why not?its the largest mopar "style" mountain motor to date and everybody knows we all want one.....

until somebody comes up with a block and heads to break the 622/655 barrier, its a spot of glimmer for the fast mopar crowd.even if it is a horse with zebra stripes.i am pretty sure they would let you in an all mopar event with it.now, all thats required is to sell your house and move into a van down by the river to buy one....

It all can be done already. Mother Mopar doesn't have any 5" heads out there any longer but plenty of 4.9 Hemi Prostocks ones. Get a Billet Block under that and build a big cubed engine. Or get lucky and find a set of 5" 99 heads and get a 5" billet block and build a 700-800ci engine.
The 5" engine I ran two seasons ago wasn't even a Billet block. It was a Donovan block that came with blank Lifter Galley. We kept it at 650ci (because thats our limit) but it could had been a 700-800ci engine.
I know Goodwin "based" the idea of his "Hemi" heads off the 99 stuff. Both him and Kaase kept working with the Hemi 99 5" stuff after mother mopar gave up on them. My Goodwin Engine is based on a 5" BS and 650ci (because our rules don;t allow larger then 650 or 5"). But the same engine can go 5.3BS and up to 1000ci to match what Sonny is doing. Just need the $$$ have it built.

Pricing on those big Sonnys deal is easy. They are basically $100 a cube by the time you actually get done. Have a friend who just purchased a 777"er from them. My new car was equipped with one of those 820" deals when it ran IRHA pro stock. Opps fixed it fat fingers

Are you sure you didn't slip a decimal there Al? $777,000.00 sounds a little steep even by Formula 1 standards. Kevin

the pic i posted came directly from kaase website,it is the actual motor that he produces.either way its a small change of pace from the sonnys chemi and the ford deals in some ways.although it says mopar on the valve covers, it is what it is.a hybrid race motor like the others.but the point is,give some credit where credit is due, john took the liberty of styling it after and calling it a MOPAR,when others didnt.we all know its NOT a mopar by any means other than name alone.but at least its something for the faithfull.good bad or ugly.and thats the only reason i posted this.its a close as the mopar crowd will EVER get to an actual mopar mountain motor.this post was simply meant to be informative.nothing more, nothing less.....
