Does it have pads for the pinion snubber? If so, somebody already moved the perches (they should be 44" center-to-center). Look for the BOM number stamped in the right axle tube to see its original application.

Whats the distance between the perches measured center to center?

If it is the correct width from drum to drum, cut the perches off and move them in. Be sure to set the pinion angle before welding the perches to the housing.
