Hello all. I've done some calling and info collecting on my fuel pump push rod. My cam is a billet cam shaft, that's why I need to use a "brass" tip fuel pump push rod. Yes, from talking to a part seller they are a wearable item (I had no idea, someone also pointed this out). Seems several of you have had some push rods that have lasted for a long time in the engine. Racepumps.com tech said their brass tips are of a different metal combo, are harder and wear better and work on billet cams. May go that route and see how their product wears. I'm still working the issue, just want to be sure I get a quality part in to alleviate un-necessary fuel pump removals over time as well as protecting my cam and using the correct part. Any more info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Never heard of running a "brass tip" fuel pump push rod. Nor have I ever had an isue w/ a stock on wearing out. If this is for a "race" application you should probably re-post this in the race section. The company you bought the cam form should be able to give you any info you need to complete your build. FWIW most of the guys I know that run roller cams run electric pumps, but then agaiin they are pretty much race car that see limited street use.

That's a good chunk of money towards a good electric.
