does anyone know if a 1970 HEMI k frame will go into a 1968 roadrunner with minimal or no modifications? what needs to be modified or changed?

I'd sell it and buy a correct one for the 68. You should come out money ahead.

Yes they did and it only requires drilling holes for the swaybar mounts if going from a 70 to 68 , going 68 to 70 won't work because the 70 swaybar passes thru the K member.

There is also a difference in the skid plate.

Well, that's what I had to do - the angle was completely off using the '68-'69 set up I had...

Then you got one that missed QC checks because the steering box angle is the same 66-7. Also a 70 column is different than 68-69 so I'm curious what you did there ... 68-69 ignition is in the dash , 70 in the column.

I forgot about that , 68 has a MAN'S skidplate , 70 has a something about the thickness of tinfoil.

Bob if you have questions give my dad a call He knows them inside and out. I know the skid plate and sway bar are different and am pretty sure that is it. If the one you have is an original as Scott said you will come out ahead selling it and getting a correct one.

I agree, isn't the steering box at a different angle on the E-body K-frame?

Years ago I swapped a 1968 RR Hemi motor and tranny with the K member into a 1969 GTX, we ended up wrecking that car going to the races after hitting a big wild dog The owner bought a R/T 440 1970 Challenger out of a wrecking yard in Los Angles and I swapped that K member, motor and tranny into the Challenger I think I took the steering colmum apart and had a extension welded onto it to make it fit the standard steering box out of the RR To many years ago, we never had any issues that I remember other than NHRA raisning a fuss about the sway bar and how I had to beat the 1968 K member up to make the 1970 E body sway bar fit in it

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Never touched the column inside the car, had to modify it as it hooked to the steering gear in the engine compartment. Coulda been an e-body K, yeah. Was a while ago...
