Larry Larson has 7/16s studs on his motor. ARP has a line of bad mofos for that purpose

Arp for sure. Their studs are 70 ft/lbs 5 per cylinder isn't too bad. Thanks for the replies I've seen a couple koeth blacks with 1/2 studs.
Forgot to mention block is o-ringed and reciever grooves in the heads and will have copper ace head gasket

you will rip the crank out of the block before you will have a headgasket problem

We have never had any problems with the block and the head studs or head gaskets, and have been running it since 2006 boosted, and naturally aspirated between 1999 and 2006. Last summer we had max of 23 psi in the first gear and 20 psi in high gear, has been pretty much the same all the time since the first summer. We have been 144 mph at best at 1/8 mile weighing 3600.
