I'm going to the dyno tomorrow to get the new bracket motor mounted up and ran for a short time to make sure it is ready to flog on Thursday morning It is a 440 block bored to 4.350, 4.300 stroke , 505 C.I. 440-1 ported heads with Indy 1.5 rockers, solid roller cam with 270 ish duration at .050 with .675 net lift at the retainers, 12.60 to 1 compression, 440-2 intake adapted to a 1050 Dominator, big dyno headers and so on. Nothing exotic I'm hoping for 750 + HP and 700 Ft lbs + on the torque on race gas, I will try my E85 Dominator carb and the local E85 mix to see what that will do Post away, if you so desire, no prizes for the most accurate guess

I say 720hp 670tq.unless it is on that happy dyno again. very similar to my 500" builds. Good luck with the indy rockers. I have broke more of them than I can count....... these were used on a motor just like yours.....

they were not designed for high spring pressure, at least they don't act like it. i have broken more than a few myself before switching

I used to run a Crane roller cam the same size in my 451.

I'm waiting on the dyno shop to e mail me copies of what it did, his shop printer cartridge was dried up It didn't do as well as I had hoped, I will call him and ask if his MSD had a RPM chip in it as this motor was done at 6500 RPM The last stroker motor I built with similar parts like this one made peak HP at 7200 RPM I saw a little over 700 HP on the gauges(around 680 on the torque) but this dyno doesn't always print what you see One of the other dyno shops I use to use in SO CA had a Super Flow dyno that would do the same thing so they sold it and bought a DTS, it never did that The sampling rate, 10 times a second versus 100 times a second, was the differences according to them The customer was there and he likes it so that is what realy counts I'll post the actual results once I get them

all of my 500" motors are done around 6500. I use solid rollers in all of them. 13.1 compression. 272/276@.050 .650"........
here is a dyno sheet showing it peaking around 6500

I have been telling you for 10 years, you dont need to spin them to 7500. I shifted mine at 6700, usually even less. I'm sure it will run good
