I would think at least 5500 stall would work better. I only have a 600 rpm window between stall and shift point, works great. I'm guessing you are running around 101-103. Dan All kinds of guess work here Trans could be bad , vert could be a issue Or both Fuel delievery ie pump n line restrictions bad regulator. Jetting a carb is done by heat , or the lack of heat Timing plays a huge part as well . With limited info, hard to say whats going on here
